Help with the campaign

Nik lives in Melbourne, mainly gets around on a bicycle, and wants to see a lot more others doing it as well. Over the years Nik has been involved in campaigns ranging from going to jail to help save the Franklin River in Tasmania, saving one of Melbourne’s passenger rail lines (the Upfield line) and advocating for safer cycling facilities to encourage more people to use the bicycle for transport. Nik believes that what was always a sensible policy is now urgent, as it’s the quickest and cheapest way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transport, and because the growing health crisis in Australian hospitals from inactivity will bankrupt the public health system in the near future and lead to lower standards of health care for most Australians, and getting a significant number of Australians using bikes is again the cheapest and quickest way of getting more people exercising.
